Can't get TWC to resolve my internet issues - TWC
Last Tuesday my internet stopped working (I don%u2019t have cable, just internet). I called and they couldn%u2019t send anyone until Friday between 2 and 3 (almost four days). The person shows up and says that it is a problem that requires work outside and can%u2019t be done that day, so he sets up an appointment for Sat. between 2 and 3.
Later that night, I get a recorded call confirming the appointment. The next day, I hear nothing. I call at 2:00 to find out what is going on. I get a recording asking if I am calling about my 2:00 appointment and I say yes and I%u2019m transferred to an operator.
The operator looks up my account and tells me I have no appointment that day. I told her that, not only did I have one, I was called on Friday to confirm it and then the recording I got when I called also confirmed it. She simply refused to admit I have one. But what galled me is that she refused to ask anybody about it. She just refused, no matter how many times I asked her. I even started yelling at her and she just refused.
I called back, to the same recording saying I had a 2:00 appointment. The person who answered this time said that I did indeed have an appointment. But it was rescheduled. I asked why and why I wasn%u2019t called about it, he said it was rescheduled because the serviceman called and no one answered. I told him that no one called and I had proof (my phone records all incoming calls, whether I answer or not; there was also no voice mail).
I asked him when it was rescheduled for. When he looked into it and came back, he said it had been cancelled. It went from rescheduled to cancelled. I got upset and wanted someone to come out so he said he would have someone out there before 7:00.
I called back and insisted I talk to a supervisor. He confirmed that someone would be there before 7:00. He also gave me the only good news%u2014I would get a discount on my bill.
At 6:00 no one had come, so I called and got confirmation that someone would indeed be there before 7:00. At 7:00 I called and was told that it had been rescheduled for 9 am the next morning (again without telling me or confirming that I would even be there). I asked for a supervisor.
She told me that the 9 am rescheduling had been cancelled because it had been rescheduled after 5:00, and there can be no reschedules after 5:00 because the dispatcher office is closed. She then told me that it wasn%u2019t rescheduled for 9 am, it was reschedule for 9-7, no specific time. When I asked her how they could set up such a time without even knowing I would be there, she couldn%u2019t give me an answer.
She scheduled me for next Thursday from 4-5, more than a week after the problem happened. She refused to do anything to try to get me a quicker time. I asked to talk to a manager, but after being put on hold for a long time, I got disconnected.
I also asked her to make sure that whoever comes out on Thursday talks to the man who came out Friday so they know what the solution is before he gets here. I told her, otherwise, the same thing is going to happen; the serviceman will get here, realize he doesn%u2019t have the time or ability to fix it just then and will have to come back. But she said they can%u2019t do that.
What also got me is how little anyone seemed to care about resolving my issue.
I don%u2019t get this. Can anyone explain this to me?
